Sampige’s Anuual Picnic

Dear Members

The time has come for Sampige’s Annual Picnic!

Come for food, fun, and games and with good spirits! Feel free to bring any volleyballs, Frisbees, cricket items, etc. -- anything to pump up the fun!

Purandhara Dasara Aradhane & Basava Jayanthi

 When: April 5th , 2008
Time: From 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Location: Hindu Bhavan Temple Hall, Morrisville,NC

Dear Members,

 

Sampige, will be celebrating  'Purandara Daasara Aradhane' and 'Basava Jayanthi,  honoring the two great saints of Karnataka on Saturday the 5th of April at the HSNC Temple Hall from 10.30 am to 3.30pm.

Ghosti gaana will be followed by songs and dances all based only on 'Dasara Padas' and 'Vachanas'.

Sampige is inviting everyone to participate in this celebration and make it a success.  Interested participants can either call Anuradha Rao( 919-827-0624) or Suma Patil(919-468- 0234) before the 25th of March.

 

Also, there will be a 'Rangoli Competition' (Ages 8 to Adult) held on the porch of the Temple Hall  from 10 am to 11 am.  Any medium of art, like colored sand, grains etc., can be used except markers and sketch pens. Boards will be provided. Interested participants can register on the day of the competition at the Temple itself.

 

For those who have not yet renewed their membership, please take this opportunity to do so.

Donations are welcome and the proceeds will go to HSNC.

 

 

Valentine's Day Details

Sampige Board 2008 is thrilled to hold its first program of the year, "Valentine's day" on Saturday Feb 23rd 2008 in the evening from 6 to 10 pm at Cary Senior Center, located at Bond Park


Directions:

From Raleigh: If coming by I40 WEST take the Harrison Exit (287). Turn left on the ramp. Turn right on to CARY PARKWAY. Turn left on to HIGH HOUSE road. Take the first entrance to Bond Park on High house road by turning right. Take 1st left. You will see the community center on the left.

From Chapel Hill / Durham: Take I40 East. If you take exit 278 (HWY 55), turn right on the ramp. Drive for about 10 miles. Turn left on to High House road. Go past the CARY PARKWAY intersection. Take the first entrance to Bond Park on High house road by turning right. Inside the Park take 1st left. You will see the community center on the left.

OR

If taking the DAVIS DRIVE exit (280), on the ramp turn left. Drive for about 9 miles. Turn left on to HIGH HOUSE road. Go past the CARY PARKWAY intersection. Take the first entrance to Bond Park on High house road by turning right. Inside the Park take 1st left. You will see the community center on the left
