Brahmothsava

This year, “Brahmothsava” provided an opportunity to every community in RTP area. Sampige was given a chance on June 11th 5PM – 9PM. Highlights of the program are as below.

1) Alankaara Seve - Smt.Savitha Ravishankar lead the effort of Alankaara from Sampige for Brahmothsava. Along with temple volunteers did a great job with interior and exterior decoration of the temple. We truly appreciate all the volunteers’ dedication, time, energy and support. 

2) Cultural Seve - Sampige members performed at the four corners of the temple during Rathotsava.

Vocal – Carnatic classical music by Smt.Varuni Ravinder accompanied by Vishwas Rao on Mrudanga and Ganesh Vadlamani on Violin

Instrumental – Carnatic classical music by Smt.Gowri madhu on Veena, Vishwas Rao on Mrudanga and Ganesh Vadlamani on Violin

Bharatanaatya - Ritika Patil, Teja Yarlagadda and Srija Yarlagadda performed bharatanaatya for "Devarmunivar Thodu padan", a dance on lord venkateshwara describing his glories in raga shanmughapriya, set to Adi tala.  Bharatanaatya choreographed by Smt.Supriya Desai.

Dance
- Kaathyayini kashyap, Ameya  Rao, Pooja Korategere, Sahana Belatur danced for "Ena helali thangi" song sung by Sri.Puttur Narasimha Naayak, Choreographed by Smt.Veena Kashyap. Leela Jnanesh, Bhargavi Rao, Sahana Rangaraju, Niti Urs and Lipi Jnanesh performed kolata for "Radheya Krishna Bega baro nee" song.


Bhakthi Squad 
- Ayush Sunil, Vybhav Jagannath, Vismitha Rao, Vishwas Rao, Vini Raman, Rohit Raman sung devara naamas. Smt.Savitha Ravishankar and Sri.Gopal Soora lead the bhakthi squad by bhajans for an hour. Thanks for all the devotees who were part of the bhajan group.

We would like to thank Smt.Smitha Prasad, temple volunteers, priests, Temple board of trustees for coordinating with Sampige in providing us an opportunity to perform during Bhramothsava

PICNIC AFTER THOUGHTS
Picnic was filled with games, food, lot of fun and other activities. Dosa Camp, Chat’s corner, face painting and Ice cream truck was the highlight of the event.

The unsung heroes and back-bone of picnic are our volunteers. Sampige 2013 board members are very glad to let you all know how much you have been appreciated. 


The hours you put in to help us organize "Besige Vinoda" was an incredibly generous gift to Sampige and its members. The positive feedback we've received from those who attended was awesome. Everyone had a fabulous time that evening. The grand success of this event is due in large part to our volunteer’s efforts. On behalf of Sampige 2013 board members, thank you for sharing your energy, talents and time.

Games – Leela Jnanesh, Bindu Sanjay, Preethy Veerappa, Pushpa Chinnappa, Jnanesh, Purushottam Kundur, Ramya Rajegowda, Pradeep Bangalore, Madhu Rangappa Gowda

Face Painting – Rupa Varadarajan, Mythili Varadarajan and Ramya Varadarajan.

ಸಂಪಿಗೆ ೨೦೧೩ ತಂಡದ ೨ನೇ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ "ವಸಂತೋತ್ಸವ"ವನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ಸುಗಳಿಸಲು ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಿದ ತಮಗೆಲ್ಲರಿಗು ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳು.

Event Highlights :

1) Total attendance of around 400 folks including Kids and Adults

2) T.P Kailasam Drama by Sunder's group kept the audience spell-bound for 1.5 hours.

3) Dr Puthuraya 's humor and exception view on daily life activities made everyone laugh their hearts out.

4) Exceptional solo-performance by all the Sampige - member Artists! Be it the Budu-Buduke dance  by Kannada Kali Students, Bharatanatyam performences or the solo songs, all the performances were well recieved by the audience. Tribute to P.B Sreenivas was delievered in befitting style to the great soul.

1) Programs expressing different regions, cultures and art forms of Karnataka.
2)  Be it  Bangalore, Hubli, Coorg, Mangalore .. etc you will find a program that you have seen in your native city.
3)  Dance, songs, fine acts and a rib tickling drama will keep you at the edge of your seat entire time.
4)  Special audience participation programs so you cannot afford to feel left out.
5)  Special Karnataka "Appetizer" served from 5-6:30  and then free food at end of the program.
6)  See your friends dressed in their native region attire.
